Proust Reading Group

Circling back after reading Marcel Proust's grand, multi-volume Bildungsroman of a late bloomer, UPB hosts an ongoing careful, close re-reading of Swann’s Way, discovering how it changes the second time around. Designed for those who are returning to the text after having already read the whole of In Search of Lost Time, we're currently discussing the section "A Love of Swann," a long aside concerning an obsession over a women "who wasn't even my type," a jealousy whose pang is as sharp as gout.

Please RSVP with Richard Zuckerman.
