Ages of Oz is a new adaption and expansion of the Oz that we all know and love. What sets us apart is that after deconstructing and rebuilding all of the characters, objects, and settings from L Frank Baum’s original 14 Oz books – only one of which was “The Wizard of Oz” – we created 1000 years of Oz history all the while staying true to Baum’s intentions... including that Glinda had fiery red hair!
We’ve launched Ages of Oz with a middle grade fiction book trilogy published by Simon & Schuster which tells the story of how Glinda goes from being a 13-year- old student uncertain of her future to becoming the most powerful magician in all of Oz. The first book in the series is A Fiery Friendship, which was released May 16th, 2017. The second book is called A Dark Descent, targeted for release May 2018. Overall, this series tackles social justice themes such as equality, unity, and thinking for yourself during a tumultuous political climate in which illusion, fear, terror, distraction, and unlawful imprisonment rule.
